My research interests are best described by the following keywords:

  1. Adaptive Distributed Computing Systems
    We aim at software systems that are able to adapt their functionality dynamically and autonomously to changes in their runtime environment.
  2. Teamwork in Multi-Robot Systems
    We focus on modeling and design support for achieving collaborative behavior in multi-robot teams consisting of autonomous mobile robots that act in dynamic environments, such as autonomous driving vehicles, search & rescue robots and soccer robots.
  3. Value-oriented Software Design for Socio-technical Applications
    We investigate how software should be designed so that it meets not only technical requirements, but also expectations in respect to ethical, cultural, legal, etc. concerns, that have become more and more important for computing innovations.

These research areas are not isolated from each other but share solutions in a synergistic fashion.
